You didn't mention the year, make, model or engine info but most vehicles have an emission related vacuum line route diagram located under the hood somewhere in the engine compartment.

The big rubber engine air intake tube will go from the engine air filter to the engine throttle body
The throttle cable does not go from the transmission to the throttle body.
The fuel does not go to the throttle body it goes to the fuel injectors.
does not have one. It has a throttle body. it sits on top of engine on the intake manifold. your air intake systems will go into it.

Carbon is built up in the throttle body causing it to stick. Go to parts store and purchase throttle body cleaner. Take off plastic breather connecting to throttle body and spray in side the throttle body.

these were very bad for carbon build up in the throttle body. you have to disconnect the air intake hose from the throttle body and clean it with carb cleaner and a tooth brush. making sure you get it all. then go for a drive for about10 mile to re-teach the idle air control sensor.
