In urban areas it usually goes into a storm sewer system, and from there into a convenient waterway. So everything you throw in the street or on your lawn eventually ends up in the river.

Some cities have combined storm and sanitary sewer systems, so the rainwater goes into the wastewater treatment plant. Tpopopopopopopopopoo.

when precipitation or rain falls from the sky it soaks into the ground in a area called the recharge zone. then, the water travels through the ground into a area called the saturated zone. the saturated zone holds the ground water until a well is made.

Where do geese go when it rains?

That depends on the individual goose. Some will continue their activities like swimming or grazing inspite of a rain storm. Most, however, will seek shelter under a low, dense tree like a pine tree. The pine needles are close together and provide an almost water-tight roof from which to wait out the storm.
