Hestia is the Greek goddess of the hearth fire, hence presiding over domestic life. She is the eldest sister of Zeus and the oldest daughter of Rhea and Cronus. Rhea gave birth to 5 children, but Cronus ate them all. When the sixth child was born, Rhea hid him and gave Cronus a wrapped-up stone, which he ate. After the child, Zeus, had grown up, he gave his father a medicine which made him throw up the first 5 children. Unharmed! Hestia was one of them.
