Aside from Israel, Judaism is mostly absent from the continent of Asia. Judaism is also mostly absent from the continent of Africa aside from small populations in Morocco, Ethiopia, Uganda, and South Africa.
Judaism is practiced all over the world, because Jewish people live all over the world. There are active synagogues in places where many might not think Jews live. Jamaica, Spain, South Africa, New Zealand, Morocco, Russia, Iraq...and even Hong Kong are some countries that have Jewish populations. The largest population of Jews tends to be Israel, USA, Canada, England and South America. Interesting fact: Judaism is one of the world's major religions, while Jews are one of the world's minorities. Go figure :)

Jews practiced their religion quite openly during World War 1 in most countries where Jews lived. In Czarist Russia, there were some difficulties in practicing Judaism, but elsewhere it was not an issue. It was during World War 2 that being Jewish became an issue.
In medieval Europe science was generally not practiced. The Bible and the works of Aristotle were used to describe who the world worked and were considered complete and authoritative.
There is no belief in Judaism that the world will end.
