It depends on which point of continental crust, but a rough guess based on an average 1 degree F thermal increase for every 100 feet below the surface, with a surface temperature of 55 degrees F, converted to a kilometer depth of 2.5, gives an answer of 137 degrees F.

The temperature of the continental shelf is somewhat similar to that of the intertidal zone. Since it is exposed to the sun, the sun determines the temperature of this zone. That said, it is most likely warm when the sun is out and cool when it is not.

Continental crust and Oceanic crust.

Both the oceanic and continental crusts are partially composed of what material?

Both oceanic and continental crusts consist primarily of igneous rock although they both contain some sedimentary rock. Oceanic crust is composed mainly of basaltic rock, while continental crust is composed of granitic rock.

How does the thickness of continental crust differ from that oceanic crust?

There is actually a difference between the thickness of the two. The fact is, however, that actual variance of the Earth's crust is larger than the variance between the continental and oceanic crusts. However, here is the data- The Earth's crust is comprised of layers- the continental crusts are between 35-70 km thick while the oceanic crusts are between 5-10 km thick

Both the oceanic and continental crusts are partially composed of this material?

Igneous and sedimentary rock. Or basalt.
