where is the emc located on a 1988 olds cutlass?
i need to replace the ecm on a 1993 olds cutlass supreme, can i replace it with another ecm from another olds cutlass?
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) is located under the right hand side of the instrument panel.
The ECM is located under the coolant reserve tank and mounted to the front of the strut tower. Only a single nut holds it in place. once you remove the nut simply pull it out.
The ECM is located behind the glovebox on a 1991 Cutlass Ciera. Pull the glove box out to see it. Once located remove the mounting hardware and unplug it from the car. Replace the unit.
Remove the RH lower dashboard sound insulator and the glove compartment. Look for a shiny metal box about the size of an old GM ECM.
The ECM fuse is located inside the car. Open the little glove box, and pull out the liner. From there you can see the Fusebox. It is labelled ECM
I've got an 89 cutlass ciera and it is located behind glove box. open and pull out like 4 screws and there it is.
In the dash, passenger side, behind the glove box.
the engine control module (ecm) is located behind the passanger kick pannel. which is located by the floor, passanger side.
if your talking about the ecm of your car, this should be located behind your glove box area.
There are two fuse panels in the 1989 Olds Cutlass Supreme. The "inside" panel is inside the glove box, in front of the passanger. The "under hood" panel is located above and forward of the passanger side front wheel. There is also a dedicated 20A "ECM" fuse located inside a small compartment containing the fuel pump relay, under the hood on the driver side.
Look behind the glovebox.
