Mount Popocatepetl is one of the most important volcanic mountains of the country of Mexico. It's located in the convergence of the states of Puebla, Mexico and Morelos. It's also Mexico's second highest peak, with a height of 5,426 m or 17,802 ft.
The Popocatepetl volcano IS NOT the tallest peak in Mexico. Such distinction is for the Pico de Orizaba (19°1'48''N 97°16'12''W) which has an elevation of 5,636 metres (18,490 ft); almost 210 meters or 689 feet taller than the Popocatepetl.
