It was growing wild in our town in Oregon. All the little old ladies thought it was pretty and cultivated it not knowing. The only reason I can ID it is the police ran a raid and pulled up all the old ladies flowers, including my mother's. It's very distinctive. Once you can identify it you'll see it in various plots and fields all over Oregon.
