The fuse box for the trailer lights are under the hood (drivers side). Have to look in your owners manual to find the correct fuse.
If the blinkers work then your taillight wiring is bad.

Remove the old bulb and look on it's side. The # is listed there.
remove two screws, remove tail light, remove bulb. reinstallation is the reverse of removal.
On a 2000 Ford Mustang : The fuel pump inertia switch is in the trunk , behind the trunk liner on the drivers side , near the driver side rear taillight ( there is an access hole through the trunk liner )

To remove the taillight from a 2003 Ford Escape, start by opening the rear hatch and locating the two screws or bolts securing the taillight assembly. Remove these screws using a socket or screwdriver. Once the screws are removed, gently pull the taillight assembly straight out from the vehicle, disconnecting any wiring harnesses attached. Finally, set aside the taillight for replacement or repair.
