There are several Bible verses that appear to demonstrate that the Holy Spirit is NOT everywhere.
In Mark 1:10, Jesus saw the heavens open and the Spirit descend like a dove. Here the Holy Spirit was in heaven and came physically down to Jesus, in the likeness of a dove.
In John 20:22, the risen Jesus breathed on the disciples, saying, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost." The Holy Ghost was not everywhere, but had to come from Jesus.
In Acts 2:3-4, the Holy Ghost came like tongues of fire and settled on the disciples. Again, the disciples could not receive the Holy Spirit until it descended on them in the likeness of flames.
