I just checked my ecm codes today and am trying to find what they mean. the ecm is located to the right of the gas pedal. there is a plastic acess panel that has a screw. remove that panel and you should see it. but if you can find a OBD-1 scanner that will help you to. hope this helps. oh and to get the codes to display. turn your key to the on position without starting the car. the red led light should come on and the check engine light also. now turn the ecm mode screw or switch all the way clockwise, wait 2 sec and turn all the way counter clockwise. the codes should display in flashes. and if you find out what the codes are post them and you might help some one else.
where is the ecm locate on a Nissan altima 2.5s 2002
uNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT.
It's right beside the accelerator pedal.Just unscrew the panel and voila!
No
On the 2004 Altima, the ECM is located under the hood. It is located around the under-hood relay and fuse box.
First of all there is no Toyota Altima. An Altima is a Nissan. The ECM is a electronic control module which handle all the cars electronic information. Also referred to as your cars computer.
Have the Ecm checked At dealers ( recall )
Have the Ecm re-programmed for free at dealership
For the 2002 - 2006 Nissan Altima, the ECM and TCM are both located under the dashboard, behind the glove box. You must remove the glovebox to access these modules. Remember that any yellow wires or connectors are for the air bags. You should probably refer to a service manual before accessing anything electrical/electronic.
The ECM is located under the right hand side of the instrument panel.
near the intake.
you will find ECM center front (inside car ) on the floor hide by black plastic.
