on the 22re (most common engine) it is pluged into the top of the valve cover about 3/4 way back the engine, a large black hose comes out of the pcv valve and goes to the intake manifold. On the 3.0 ltr it's underneath all of the intake garbage on the passenger side. Follow the vacuum hose to find it. You'll need to take some of the hoses off and a pair of long needle nose pliers to get it replaced.

do you want that PVC in schedule 40 or schedule 80,1",2"? its a PCV-(Positive Crankcase ventilation )valve.
4 cylinder does not have pcv valve.

The PCV valve on a 1997 Toyota Avalon is located on top of the engine. It connects the left valve cover with the intake.

The PCV valve is in the rear portion of the rocker arm cover set in a grommet with a large (10mm I.D.) hose that goes to the intake.
