The site www.scartersf.org is available but is no longer accepting applications for 2009. This is because the site has been canceled and is no longer used by the scholarship committee. The new site that you can enter at is: ww.shawncartersf.org.Remember to enter before June 1, 2010.
Criteria:
In order to be considered for candidacy and remain eligible for the scholarship we ask that the following criteria be met:
• You must be a U.S. Resident
• You must provide proof of acceptance into any accredited post-secondary education institution.
• This includes and not limited to technical & vocational programs, community colleges and universities.
• You must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
• You must fulfill all community service requirements set by the guidelines of the foundation.
• It is required that you actively mentor recently accepted scholarship recipients upon completion of your first year in the program.
Application Requirements:
• High School Transcript
• Copy of SAT and/or ACT.
• Letter of Recommendation.
• 500 Word Essay --> Essay topic= Do you think the security around President Obama and his family is adequate? Why or why not?
• Include a photo of yourself on the application.
Note: After you make an account on the website, you may asked to provide your high school or college transcript, college acceptance letter, SAT/ACT scores, reference of non-relative, parent/guardian information, academic information, and work history.
****Candidates can not knowingly be related to any Roc-A-Fella employees or any affiliates of Roc-A-Fella companies.
