The backup light switch is mounted on the transmission casing.
Biscute
Standard shift or automatic.
The backup light switch is located on the side of the transmission. It has two wires coming off of it but they are probably covered in wire wrap.
The neutral start switch mounted on your automatic transmission also serves as the back up lamp switch.
It is inside the transmision, it is called the range sensor.
it's a function of the shift-position sensor switch (automatic) which is in the center console.
look down on the tranny itself.
There is no relay for the backup lights. The circuit is powered by the keyswitch, runs thru a 10 amp fuse on the interior fuse block, then goes through a switch mounted on the transmission, and on to the lights. The switch is on the front of the manual transmission, and on the lower front of the automatic.
No... its an on off switch
The backup light switch and the brake switch are all in the same relay switch. The backup light switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard.
It is combined with the neutral safety switch and mounts to the transmission where the shifter linkage is attached.
