Most of Manhattan is safe and secure. The Upper East Side is very family orientated and nice. Mid/Downtown is more of a party spot if you are younger. The nicest Ave is Central Park West. Morningside Heights is a great upscale neighborhood with great old (and some new) apartments, restaurants, food shopping, Riverside Park, and nightlife. It's right next to a college so the crime rate is very low. It's a good place to live and get things done too. I hope I've helped you out. Katie Bri
