On the left side of the brake underneath the dash
You will need to change the brake light switch. The brake light switch can be found below the dashboard on the drivers side.
check the brake light switch behind the brake pedal under the dash.
Replace bulbs Check the fuse Check the stop light switch
Usually controlled by a fuse and a switch located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash
Brake fluid might be low, or the switch for the emergency brake may be shorted to ground (making the car think that the emergency brake is on).
I don't know the Acura as they are not in the UK But it may well have safety device fitted that will not allow you to shift from park unless your foot is on the brake pedal. If this is the case, check that the brake lights are working, if they are not it may indicate a faulty brake light switch.
The switch is located on the brake pedal. Undo bolt & wire & replace switch. Note adjustment before removing old switch if you've not replaced one before. You my want to use a mulitmeter (digital with continuity function) to test it before you buy one.
10mm
Check the Brake switch that's mounted on the brake pedal bracket, they can get jamed and cause the contacts to pass the 12 volts to the lights. Good luck!
Usually at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
Look directly up from brake pedal, under the dash. You'll see when you mash the brake down, it contacts a little button, which is the brake switch. The switch is a plug, you pull it out to replace, you push it in. simple.
either you don't have enough fluid in the reservoir or you need brakes
