A few early models had a drain valve on the radiator. All the newer models are done the old fashioned way if you do it yourself. Pull the lower rad hose. Most shops have an inline change system that is clean and fast. Dexcool is the only coolant recommended for your truck and a flush out is seldom needed as the Dex stays very clean.
The radiator drain plug on a 2002 GM Savana 3500 is typically located at the bottom of the radiator, on one side. It is usually a plastic or metal plug that can be turned counterclockwise to drain the coolant. Make sure to have a container ready to catch the coolant when you open the drain plug. Always ensure the engine is cool before attempting to drain the radiator.

There is no plug. GM in their infinite wisdom decided we don't need to change our coolant in the rad. Therefore to do this you must remove the lower rad hose to drain the coolant. Nice move GM. And you wonder why no one wants your cars anymore. All for the cost of a simple drain spigot.
The later models (2003 (I think) on) do not have a drain cock. The manual says to remove the lower radiator hose at the radiator. Nice touch, GM!
Check for low coolant
To change the engine coolant on a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu with a 3.1-liter engine, start by ensuring the engine is cool. Locate the radiator drain plug at the bottom of the radiator and place a container underneath to catch the old coolant. Remove the drain plug and allow the coolant to completely drain out. After replacing the drain plug, fill the radiator with a 50/50 mixture of new coolant and distilled water, then run the engine with the heater on to circulate the coolant and ensure there are no air pockets. Finally, check the coolant level and add more if necessary.
