The 2003 Trailblazer should have the 4200 I6 Vortec engine. You will find your ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor and coolant thermostat just to the passenger side and front of the engine. There should be a larger radiator hose going to the thermostat housing. If you can see your oil cap...look just to the left (passenger side) and down on the side of the engine. The electrical plug is your ECT sensor and below that...thermostat. It should be a metal looking pipe with a bend of about 90 degree. That whole metal piece is the thermostat as it is built into that piece with the bend in it.

To remove/replace it you need a socket wrench & a 3 to 6 inch extension. You will have to remove the alternator and serpentine belt to get to it. This is where the thermostat is located on the trailblazer for years 2002 to 2004.
