It is located right behind the main crankshaft on the passenger side. You might have to take off the crank but might also be able to get your tools in there it depends on how they positioned the sensor.

2006 dodge stratus 2.4 XST, the crank sensor is located under the starter motor, must be removed the starter motor in order to change this, just now I did that job
On the 4 cylinders it is in the rear of the block. On the 6 cylinder it is in the top of the bell housing.

I was informed it was on the bell housing somewhere,get the new one and look at the plug in that way you have a reference when your searching.
