how to tell if my crankshaft sensor is not working
That year did not use one.
Look on the timing cover.
On top of the transmission bellhousing near where it bolts to the engine.
The 95 don't have one. It was not used untill 1996
I don't think that year has one. But if it does then it will be in the passenger side of the timing cover on the front of the engine right behind the harmonic balancer. 1 bolt holds it in place.
Behind the pass side head, through the bell housing.
Crankshaft position and crankshaft RPM
It is found beneath the intake manifold directly under the coil packs.
Bank 2 is on the passenger side on a Chevy V6 or V8.

The crankshaft positioning sensor is located on the bottom of the plastic timing chain cover, right behind the crank shaft pully. It is held in place by a metal clip with a single 10mm bolt.
