The fuel pump fuse is under the hood, drivers side, in a black box next to the battery.
The lid pops off at one end. Inside the box you will see 3 types of objects. A large set of fuses, colored clear, then a second set of small fuses and finally a set that are black cubes. The fuel fuse is the left hand 20A small one, usually yellow. The black cubes aren't really fuses but relay switches, the middle right side one is the Fuel relay and can be part of a system problem if defective along with the fuse. Under the fuse box lid there should be a labeling of the types.
According to my Chilton repair manual , fuse # 16 is a 15 amp fuse for the fuel gauge on a 1994 Ford Ranger
The fuel pump on a 91 Ford Ranger is controlled by the starter fuse and relay. This relay is located under the hood. It will be located by the fender on the drivers side.
The 1992 Ford Ranger does not have a fuel pump shutoff switch. You can disable the fuel pump by removing the fuel pump fuse.
In the absence of a fuel system shut off as in an alarm system I would suspect a fuel pump fuse, or faulty ignition switch
look in the owner's manual for any `94 ranger, or buy and inexpensive automotive repair manual for ford rangers.
it would be the fuel gauge relay or fuse located at or located in the vehicle.
On a 1995 Ford Ranger # 17 fuse is for the cigarette lighter.
I actually think you can just unplug the appropriate fuse. Check your users manual and verify that the door chime relates to a fuse, and verify that nothing else relates to it.

is there a picture of where the horn fuse is located on a 1990 ford ranger
In your power distribution box in your engine compartment , the fuse for the fuel pump is # 23 , it is a 20 amp mini-fuse . Ford recommends disconnecting your battery before servicing anything in the PD BOX .
