This switch works on all dome lights but will not turn off an individual light that was turned on (pushed in)individually. If you have a passenger that has turned on a dome light, you/they must turn it off manually. Children are particularly prone to leaving individual dome lights on (and it doesn't even have to be dark out), so you should check periodically to assure that your battery is not drained.
