how to turn off dome lights to my 2005 navigator

New car under warranty. Call the dealer.
On the same switch you use to turn on the headlights, there is a dome override button that you press and then you can play with the dash lights to make them brighter. This should turn the light off.
passenger side near the left foot behind a panel there are a set of fuses the dome light is located ther with other lights
In a 1996 Grand Am, the dome light is turned on by using the roller on the left side of the steering wheel that controls the dash lights. Turn the roller all the way to the right.---- 1999 - 2005 Models (SE & GT): # Use slider switch located on the dome light. It should have "off", "auto", and "on" positions. Do not leave in "on" position though, as there is no auto-shutoff for for the "on" position and it will drain your battery.# Turn on all interior lights by maximizing dash dimmer setting. It is located left of the steering wheel and adjacent to the (optional?) fog light switch. There should be one click at max brightness which will turn on all interior lights. # Alternately, there are two convenience/map lights located on the bottom of the center mirror which may be useful.
The dome light switch on a 2005 Dodge Neon is located on inside the door jab. It is tucked away inside, tracing the wires of the switch is the best way to find its placement.
It maybe a 'shared' fuse that is called 'acc' or with the horn, dome lights, etc.
The dome lights work automatically and manually. If you have manually turned on a dome light, you must manually turn it off. If it was turned on automatically, it will automatically turn off. On my 2005 model, there is a dash switch to select(Manual)On/Automatic/(Manual)Off. This switch works on all dome lights but will not turn off an individual light that was turned on (pushed in)individually. If you have a passenger that has turned on a dome light, you/they must turn it off manually. Children are particularly prone to leaving individual dome lights on (and it doesn't even have to be dark out), so you should check periodically to assure that your battery is not drained.
I think the short is located in the power control module
