check the inertia switch. SHOULD be located on the passenger side floor next to the 'hump'.

For a 2005 Ford Ranger : The fuel pump inertia switch ( shut off switch ) is in the front passenger footwell , in the right corner , above the carpet but below the right side of the glove compartment
If you mean the inertia switch (emergency cut-off switch), it is located behind the passenger side kick panel just below the glove compartment.
If it's the same as my 1995 Ford Explorer it is in the right front passenger footwell , by the right front kick panel , mounted on the toeboard

I'm not a mechanic / technician but I BELIEVE the fuel pump inertia switch on a 1993 Ford Ranger is in the front passenger footwell , under the front edge of the carpet , mounted on the toe board just to the right of the transmission hump
On my 96 ranger its on the passenger side basically on the firewall
