The output speed sensor on a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country AWD is on the side of the transmission. On the AWD models the tranny is mounted sideways and the sensor is behind the radiator on the drivers side under cooling lines and can be most easily accessed from under the hood, not under the car
The input and output speed sensors are located on the front of the trans. They have two wires and the input sensor is closer to the engine.
yes the have a speed sensor a input and out put the input allow your transmission to change gears and the output speed sensor allow your speed to register on your speed domitor
Yes. The transmission has an input and an output. The output is where the speedometer signal comes from. If you have abs, there will also be sensors at each wheel.
There are two sensors located on the driver's side of the transmission. there is an input and and output sensor. You can get to them from the underside of the car.
If an input output sensor has gone out, it will affect the functionality of your speedometer. If only the input sensor is affected, the speedometer will work with limited functionality. The output sensor will cease the speedometer from working completely.
P0731 is 1st gear incorrect ratio. P0715 in the input speed sensor.Check the Input and output speed sensor located on the transmission. One or both are faulty. Input in on top towards torque conveter the output towards the end or driver side of transmisstion.
There are two speed sensors, an input and output. They are located on the transmission. If the problem is the speedometer not working it is the output sensor located on the driver side of the rear of the transmission.
It is an input, sensors are always inputs.
The input sensor reads the speed of the transmission input shaft. The output sensor reads the speed of the transmission output shaft. The transmission computer uses these sensors to help time the shifts, and to run the speedometer. The input sensor reads the speed of the transmission input shaft. The output sensor reads the speed of the transmission output shaft. The transmission computer uses these sensors to help time the shifts, and to run the speedometer.
IF the speedo does not work that means is not getting a signal from the output sensor. Also delayed and erratic and mushy are controlled by the input sensor speed battery level must be correct/ idle speed all this is to the battery of sensors opening and closing at proper perspective intervals.
It is on the front of the transmission, between the cooler hoses.
There are 2 transmission speed sensors on the right side of the transmission... look below and just to the left of the battery and behind the base of the Transmission fluid dip stick. They look like large white nylon spark plugs. One is the input speed sensor and the other is the output speed sensor. The input is on the left... the output is on the right and is thicker than the input sensor. 1.Unclip the electrical wire connectors using a screwdriver to release the locking clip; 2. unscrew each using a long socket to fit each as they are different socket sizes. Replace with new sensors. The parts store that I purchased from had costs of $19.99 for input and $23.99 for output. The output sensor on the right is hard to reach, so, removing the input first makes a bit more room to reach in to pull out the output sensor.
