If you look inside the wheel wells behind the fender liner, right about where the frame is one O2 sensor, the other is underneath the truck about half way back in relation to the transmission. If you see where the exhaust joints together, you went about 6" too far.
When you start looking at the O2 sensors, they are normally numbered something like "Bank 1 Sensor 1" Bank 1 is on the passenger side; Bank 2 is on the driver's side. Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor (near the frame, between the block and the cat) and Sensor 2 is near the Y-pipe (downstream of the cat).
Normally it is the upstream sensors (sensor 1) that go first. They see the harshest conditions. You will need; Oxygen Sensor Socket Anti-Seized Penetrating Oil Sometimes it will take 15 minutes or take a few hours it depends on your luck…
On my 1989 f250 the oxygen sensor is in the exhaust header pipe a few inches in front of the catalytic convertor
Diesels do not use oxygen sensors
On the exhaust pipe between the engine and the catalytic converter
If someone could please explain who to get to the oxygen sensor and explain where it is for sure?
Where is cylinder temp sensor on 2000 Ford f250 with v10 engine
Which oxygen sensor? There are two of them. They each have 4 wires and each wire has two colors. There were two models of the f250 also, need to know engine size. Sorry.
on the down pipe under the truck unplug the wire unscrew it screw in the new one with thread sealent plug in the wires Rooterman2

On the Gas petal inside the vechile.
The oil pressure sensor on an f250 engine is located at the back toward the firewall. It is centered side to side close to the intake.
ICP sensor is located on the rear of the engine directly under the turbo and firewall a real beotch to get at I pulled the transmission to change that and my up-pipe. The "FUEL" filters are located one on top of the engine the other on the driver side frame rail.
