The radiator is located in the front of the car behind the grill. It is in front of the engine. If you will look closely, you will see the radiator hoses connected between the engine and the radiator. There are two of them, and upper and lower hose. In case anyone is also in search of the radiator cap - it's been moved off the radiator onto the coolant reservoir on the left side of the engine compartment... well detailed and illustrated in the Owners Manual -

Where is the antenna connection on the factory radio on a 1997 Sable GS?

The 1999 and newer Ford / Mercury sedans use a Audio Processor, which is located in the trunk, on the right hand side. My wife has a 2000 Taurus and we found this out the hard way, when her radio stopped picking up radio channels.

Well... The "switch" itself - that turns the motor on/off & the various speeds, is mounted to the panel on the dashboard. In the 1996 and newer models, that panel also integrates the radio controls. Where is the radiator fill cap on a Mercury Sable Ford Taurus?

If the question is being asked, I'd guess it's in reference to a 1996 or newer Taurus/Sable... It was about that time the traditional radiator cap seemed to disappear from usage. When the radiator cap went away, the "coolant overflow" tank became an integral part of the cooling system instead of just a, well - overflow tank. So now filling the radiator / cooling system is done through the coolant reservoir. My 2000 Ford Taurus 3 Liter DOHC 6 cylinder engine uses the plastic coolant reservoir cap in place of a conventional pressurized cap on the radiator. So all coolant flush and refill can be done through the coolant reservoir and it's drain hose connection located directly below near the passenger side front tire. Follow the reservoir's bottom hose down to find the drain connection with spring clamp. Coolanat recovery tank. Rad. cap is on top of a white plastic tank located on the left side in the engine compartment it has a black cap, this is to keep folks from getting burned checking radiator coolant the resevior also holds extra coolant. How do you replace the distributor on a 1996 or newer Ford Taurus - Mercury Sable?

There is no longer an ignition "distributor" on today's engine.Electrical distribution is handled by the:Powertrain Control Module (PCM),camshaft position sensor (CPS)ignition coil that looks like a rectangular distributor. NOTE: 2000-2005 Duratec engines use Coil-on-Plug (COP) in lieu of a coilpackBy the way, there is also no longer an ignition control module - that job has been passed off to the PCM.The "How do you know which wire goes where on the ignition coil and spark plugs on a Taurus - Sable" question below introduces the basics of ignition distribution - hopefully it will help folks transition from the old arrangement to the new.

Will flushing the radiator increase heat output in a Taurus - Sable?

Yes, and maybe...A good flushing will certainly improve the flow, along with the fact you'll have nice fresh coolant. The maybe part comes in with how thoroughly the heater core is flushed too. You'll want to ensure that part of the heating system gets a good cleaning too.NOTE: you may want to consider have this professionally done. Repair shops, especially the specialty radiator shops are the experts in these systems - and frankly, this is a messy job. The little bit more it would cost might well be worth it.I've done it both ways - sometimes just depending on my mood - willing to get dirty, or wanting to be sure it's done well and done right (my newer Windstar got the professional treatment)See "Related Questions" below for more about both, and other related Taurus / Sable heating issues
