I put 10 w 40 in my 97 4.0 liter wrangler now it sounds diffrent. I think it should have had 10 w30 . Manual calls for 10w30
loosen the bolt that runs threw the belt tension pulley located on the drivers side of your 2.5 wrangler easy way to find it to look from underneath side of the jeep with a flash light and the bolt you lossen is like 6 inches long good luck spray wd 40 on it

Most likely your crankshaft position sensor. Starts out fine, then dies after 30 mins or so? Sit for 30, then ok? 40 bucks autozone
