The temperature sending unit for a 1995 Chevy Beretta is on the front of the engine. It is between the front of the engine and the radiator inlet/outlet.
Which sending unit? Oil or temperature? Or ?????

We need to know which sending unit you speak of. There are several on that vehicle such as temperature sending unit, oil pressure sending unit and fuel gauge sending unit.
Front of the engine, about half-way down, facing the radiator.
where are the temperature sending unit located on a 1990 Chevy engine 5.7
No. The fuel pumps changed in 1993 to a different design, from that point on the pump and sending unit were integrated into one unit. They will not interchange.
connected to thermostat housing
Bad temperature sending unit? Bad gauge?
I will doubt the connection or the sending unit. Hope this will help.
Assuming you mean the engine coolant temperature sending unit, we need to know what engine it has, it makes a difference.
There are actually two water temperature sending unit on a 1994 S10 Chevy. Please locate the unit close to the thermostat housing, and not the one between spark plugs. The single wire water temperature sending unit should then be attached to the temperature gauge. The two wire unit, the one between spark plugs, would be connected to the engine control module.
The Fuel pump sending unit has gone bad. Replace fuel pump assembly, not just the pump.
