well there will be a hose that comes out the radiator at the top follow it to the motor and there will be some bolts under that the thermostat will be ALRIGHT this is quite simple really. follow the top radiator hose to the block. the hose is connected to the "thermostat housing". unbolt the housing from the block and there is your thermostat. when replacing, be sure to clean the old sealant off and replace the gasket. carefull not to crack the housing by bolting to tightly. follow the coolant hose that comes from the left behind the belts. 3 bolts 9 to 10 mm

When changing the thermostat on a Nissan 300zx first drain the coolant from the engine. Then find the lower coolant hose on the radiator. Trace the hose to the thermostat housing. Remove the housing to uncover the thermostat and replace the unit with a new thermostat.
On my 93 the thermostat is behind the water pump. If you remove the waterpump you will see the thermostat.
