Removing a spare tire is easy to do from a Chevy Suburban. The tire is removed with the tool that is located on with your jack.
There is a special tool which should be located with your tire changing tools, once you have this tool you insert it into the small hole next to the rear licence plate, you then turn the handle (Counter clockwise I think) and the spare tire will be lowered to the ground. Its held in place by a this steel cable good luck.
Usually stored near the jack, often the jack lever.
To change a tire you will need a jack to lift the car, a spare tire, and a tool to remove the bolts of the tire. Use the jack first to lift the car, then remove the tire, replace it with the new one, and tighten the bolts.
Location of the spare tire and tools The spare tire and tools for your vehicle are stowed in the following locations: Tool Location Spare tire Under the vehicle, just forward of the rear bumper Jack, jack handle and lug nut wrench Regular Cab: Behind the interior trim on the passenger side of the cab SuperCrew and SuperCab: Under the rear seat on the passenger side
I have a 2003 Dodge grand caravan and the spare tire is located right below the front seats. On the floor board in between the seats there is a cap over a stud that lowers the tire. It is very similar to a p/u truck. The jack on mine is located in the back cargo area on the left side. The wheel well is plastic and there is a door that comes off. Inside you should find the jack and the tool to crank down the tire. If you bought this used, I would not be suprised if it was not there.
Wal-Mart
Your jack and tire tool are located in the driver side compartment above your back tire. just pop the back open and should be two nobs to turn to open this. your tool to lower the tire is in the floor or this same area. lower your back seats and the pull the carpet up where it meets the seat. there you will find you last two tools
When you open the back hatch it should be behind the paneling on your passenger side along with the jack and tire tool
There is a tool in the rear compartment with the jack, most are in a black bag. assemble the tool, and lower the tire by turning the nut located on the floor between the front seats. There is a cover over the nut to help keep it out of view. Lower it far enough to pull out the side of the van and unhook.
