Where is the turn signal flasher unit located on a 2000 Chevy Silverado?

It's located behind the lower dash panel under steering wheel column.
1. Remove the lower dash panel by removing two 7 MM screws at the bottom.
2. Loosen, but do not remove, a 10 MM screw holding the brake release handle.
3. Pull off outer shroud around instrument panel. This shroud just has clips holding it in place so will pull out easily.
4. Now pull out lower dash panel on left side only. Be gentle and be patient. There is only one clip holding it in.
5. You now have easy access to to the flasher, which is now very visible.
6. Pull flasher out after releasing side clip (facing you) and replace with new flasher. Note position of prongs when removing old flasher and position new flasher prongs same way. It should push right in.
7. Turn on signals on both sides to make sure they are working properly.
8. Reverse this process to button up everything.
Takes about 15-20 minutes for an amateur.
