Both the engine temperature and thermistor for the engine management are located behind the alternator. They can both be readily accessed by removing the top adjustment bolt of the alternator, removing the serpentine belt and pivoting the alternator towards the rear of the firewall.
Under th inlet manifold, you will need to remove the alternator to gain access
..... sense water temperature?
1. Water temperature sensor Intake air temperature sensor cylinder head temperature sensor exhaus temperature sensor and catalytic sensor
The Temperature sensor for the computer is on top the head. The temperature sensor for the temperature gauge is located under the Thermostat housing.
It is a small hose behind the motor, under the car. sometime is stoped with dirt and the water coming inside de car at the passenger side.
Most engines have the temperature sensor either at the top water inlet or on the side of the block. Remove the sensor wiring, then unscrew the sensor to replace it.
I had the same problem. I changed the cam shaft sensor, oxygen sensor, used "sea foam",replaced spark plugs and had it diagnosed dozens of times only to find out it was the head gasket was blown. I had no water/oil mixture,so I overlooked it. A last ditch effort to check the lifters revealed the problem. Hope this help ya.
Your oil temperature gauge will connect to the oil pressure sensor. The water temperature gauge will hook up to the water temperature sensor. The oil pressure sensor will be on the left-hand side of the engine and the water temperature sensor will be on the front of the engine.
An air temperature sensor in an automobile is very important. The temperature sensor detects the external temperature. The external temperature is important because of the manner in which the car's computer mixes air and water.
It depends on the engine:- SOHC Cylinder head underneath the ignition coil. DOHC Cylinder Head under underneath the intake nanifold
Thermostat probably needs replacing They can stick not allowing enough water to flow around the engine block If the engine overheats it can warp the head or blow the head gasket
If you mean sensor, a sensor is a device that changes based on some phenomenon and this change is used to measure the change in the phenomenon. For example, assume a device produces a voltage and the amount of that voltage depends on the temperature of the device. It can be used as a sensor for temperature. Assume you put the device in water and another device measures the voltage produced by the sensor. Based on the voltage of the sensor it can display the temperature of the water. So, in this example, the sensor senses the temperature of the water.
