Yes, El Capitan and Half Dome are both located in Yosemite National Park in California.
You will see tons of granite in Yosemite National Park and while on Half Dome. The granite is actually has quite a good grip, as long as there is no gravel and the rock is not wet. Much of the rock on Half Dome has been eroded, so is actually fairly smooth while still being a bit rough because of the uneven weathering of the surface.

The most popular sites in Yosemite are Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. While Half Dome is for the more fit, most people will be able to at least get part way to the top of Yosemite Falls. The trail up to Vernal Falls is also a popular option.
This is a good question. Half Dome is a granite dome in Yosemite National Park, located in northeastern Mariposa County, California, at the eastern end of Yosemite Valley. I would highly recommend you vist when you find time.
Half Dome was formed by the granitic rock being uplifted and then slowly eroded by natural processes, such as glaciers and weathering. Over time, the physical shape of Half Dome has changed due to these erosional processes. In the future, Half Dome will continue to evolve through the rock cycle as it undergoes further erosion, weathering, and potential geological events, ultimately reshaping its appearance over an extended period of time.
