I am not an expert, but I have a Ranger 34A. I do know it was made by Marlin and I belive sold by Sears. It was most likely made prior to WWII and most possibly in the 1920s-1930s. I have not been able to figure out a date of manufacture as mine was made before they started putting serial numbers on them. For more than just a bore cleaning you can remove the bolt to get at the parts better. I have stripped mine completely down, but you have to be careful as there are a few small parts, and I have lost one.Remove the safety lever and then you can unscrew the bolt plunger spring plug from the back of the rifle. Pull the bolt handle out of the bolt (it pulls straight out as it is helt in by a spring loaded detent), it may be kind of tough to get out after all these years. Then the bolt will come out the back. I wouldn't stip it any further unless you want to take the chance of loosing small parts as I did.I can't help myself, I always strip and new (used) gun completely down and clean and oil it. Occassionally I get myself into trouble with that.I have not found a schematic for this rifle as yet.AnswerI believe Sears contracted more than one manufacter to make the model 34a. There's a schematic for one version at the related link, but you need Adobe Acrobat to view it.
The marlin model 50 and model 50e do not use an extractor. There is only an extractor pin/post. Try these sources: Numrich gunpartscorp.com Jack First jackfirstgun.com Bob's Gun Shop gun-parts.com Some versions of the model 50 do indeed have a manual extractor. It sets in a slot in the side of the rifle, just ahead of the bolt handle slot. I suppose it's main use is to extract an unfired round. Many are lost and never replaced. I'd sure like to find one
$75-$150, depending on condition. Dealers want $200-$250, though. There is a model 34A which is a bit rarer and worth a bit more, but you indicated:"model 34".
I think around 32A and 34A. I am 12 and I am a 34A.
Is -34a integer
It is totally normal to be a 34A at that age. All girls develope at different rates.
