In the outfield there is a left,left center,center,right center,and a right field. You may not need to put in a player in position at left center and right center but that is mainly up to you. It mostly depends I guess what team you're facing or how fast your outfielders are.
It's important that you teach proper movement. It's important also to know where to throw once you get the ball.
Make sure to use the whole body when throwing, proper crow hop will help to get enough momentum when throwing far
