The night before Jesus was put to death on a torture stake he observed the Passover with his apostles. After that he went with three of his apostles, Peter, James, and John, deep into the garden of Gethsemane where he proceeded to pray fervently to his heavenly father to give him strength during this agonizing time. Soon after that, Jesus was captured, put on trial, and sentenced to death.
