your rite there is no timing marks.you need a 5mm bar about a foot long that will sit on top of the head and slide into the end of the cam shafts.for top dead center on the #1 cylinder theres a bolt that goes in the side of the block behind the cat converter.i forget exactly so youll need a haynes manual that tells u the length of that bolt.youlle also need to make a camshaft pulley holder.you can make all these but youll need a manual.hope this was helpful..ps i hate Ford for reasons like this. plus i put a rear wheel bearing on my moms car today and it was $60 from autozone .kiss my _ _ _ ford.
