It all depends on what country you live in and what type (architectural, engineering, medical). In Canada (and I would presume also in the states) an entry level job as a 3d visualization artist would be around $45,000 a year. However seasoned artist can make up to $80-100,000. In countries like in China and India the salaries are alot less therefore alot of companies outsource their work.

Realistic (Realism) depicts subjects as they appear to the human eye. Abstract does not attempt to depict subjects as they appear to the human eye. Instead it looks to use shapes, colour, forms and textures. Abstract art can look realistic, using shadow and 3d images but its not how you would see the subject in real life
