The Dell Inspiron 546 MT Desktop Computer (AMD Sempron LE1300) has a processor speed of 2.3 GHz.
The Intel 6th Generation i7 is much better than the AMD Athlon.
AMD introduced the Athlon 64 in 2003
There are about 193 AMD DESKTOP prosessors currently on the market, ca. 10 families (Phenom, Atlon etc.)
Intel CPU's are generally regarded as better processors these days. The new Intel i7 CPUs are much faster then any of AMD's offerings. BBBBUUUTTTT if you don't have cash to burn, and your building a DESKTOP, not laptop, get a decent AMD processor. At least 4 cores and 8 threads with at least 2.6 GHZ. but if it is a laptop you seek, and it says AMD, by all means DONT BUY IT. AMD laptop processors are dip S***. get intel for laptop, and AMD for desktop. if your on a budget, that is.
Possibly. Mobile processors are typically much more expensive than their desktop counterparts, so if you are trying to compare an Intel mobile processor to a desktop AMD processor, you will quickly get confused. Within the mobile market, Intel processors are much more power efficient and generate less heat. That, not raw performance, is the driving force in mobile computing. Now, if you are looking into a desktop computer, the AMD Athlon 64 is probably a better choice, both for performance and the fact that you can't use a mobile processor in a desktop without an adapter.
Yes, an AsRock FM2A55M-DGS FM2 AMD A55 Hudson D2 Micro ATX AMD motherboard will work with an AMD Athlon X4 740 Trinity 3.2GHZ socket FM2 65W Quad-Core desktop processor. The compatibility would be based off of the fact that they are both FM2 devices.
An AMD processor comparison chart can be found on the AMD website under products. There is also an AMD processor comparison chart located on Wikipedia.
Pretty much any AMD or Intel 4 core processor would be good for gaming but the more you are willing to pay for a processor the better the processor. But if you are looking just for the best PC processors then here they are:For Intel it is a Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 3.5GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 150W Six-Core Desktop Processor BX80619i73970XFor AMD it is a AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX
depends what its in the turion is a mobile processor so if ur gettin a laptop get the turion, if ur gettin a desktop get the athlon
Its not the fastest, but the AMD 64 processor is still fast.
amd is the best
