Brawn F1 is a team in the 2009 F1 racing season. The team is owned by Ross Brawn, the ex technical director of the Honda F1 Team. When the Honda team declared that it is not going to compete in 2009, Ross Brawn offered to take over the team and that is how the Brawn Racing team was formed. Currently Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello are the two drivers of the team in the 2009 season.
No. Once the sale of the team to Genii Capital was completed after the 2010 season and the subsequent agreement with Lotus, the team applied for a British racing license for the 2011 F1 season. The team will be known as Lotus Renault GP and is not afflliated with the F1 team known as Team Lotus that began racing in the 2010 season. Engines are still manufactured at a Renault plant in France.
