both of these games are the same believe it or not. yet, the only difference is that in blue you can catch a meowth & bellsprout. And in red you can catch ekans & oddish. most people think red has better pokemon and blue has better prices for prizes at the game corner. so the real best game is.... yellow!

∙ 10y agoFirered is a remake of Red version with improved graphics, music, and the ability to obtain more pokemon. However if you are looking for the original nostalgic experience then choosing Red version would be a good choice especially if you have never played the original before.
Choose Firered afterward because a new additional storyline was introduced with the Sevii Islands. This optional storyline lets you go through seven brand new areas and lets you obtain a way to trade between other versions of pokemon such as Ruby.

you trade these Pokemon by migrating them to your platinum version. to do that, you need to attach your firered/ruby to the port under the Ds (whichever. Lite or old version of ds). go to main menu of platinum press migrate Pokemon and choose 6 Pokemon to migrate. when your done go to pal park and catch them. they don't evolve when migrating.
