Seconds from Disaster - 2004 Amsterdam Air Crash 3-2 was released on: USA: 2005 UK: 28 March 2006
Yes, but it would take rather a long time. I would involve traveling to London (about 7 hours during day, 12 hours for sleeper train), hopping on the Eurostar to Brussels before continuing on to the Netherlands. It would take 13-14 hours in total. I suppose in theory its possible to travel from the UK to anywhere in Europe by rail - it would just take a while. It is possible, though expensive, to fly to Amsterdam from Aberdeen through KLM. There are cheaper flights from Edinburgh to Amsterdam with easyjet. There are train & ferry routes that would be a bit faster (and give you a bed to sleep in overnight) via Newcastle (DFDS), Hull (P&O) or Harwich (www.dutchflyer.co.uk). But a flight to Amsterdam is probably still cheaper.
Wear what you like, something what you feel safe in. It depends on the wheater of course but you can wear in Amsterdam what you would wear in the US or in the UK for example. The Netherlands is a very modern country and Amsterdam is modern too so you don't have to wear something specific.
There are a number of different airports in the UK that cover international flights. Some of those airports include Manchester Airport, and Heathrow Airport, both of which are large international travel hubs.
