* Mariner 10 - USA Mercury/Venus Flyby - 526 kg - (November 3, 1973 - March 24, 1975) Mariner 10 was the first dual planet mission. It flew past Venus on February 5, 1974 for a gravity assist to the planet Mercury. Mariner 10 was the first spacecraft to have an imaging system. It flew past Mercury 3 times on March 29, 1974, September 21, 1974, and March 16, 1975. These three encounters produced over 10,000 pictures with 57% planet coverage. It recorded surface temperatures ranging from 187°C to -183°C on the day and night sides. A weak magnetic field was detected but it failed to detect an atmosphere. Mariner 10 is now in a solar orbit.
* MESSENGER - USA Mercury Orbiter - 3 August 2004 The Mercury Surface, Space Environment, Geochemistry and Ranging (MESSENGER) mission is designed to study the characteristics and environment of Mercury from orbit.

The U.S. has sent a number of space probes to the planet Mars. Several have been orbiting camera platforms, while others have been rovers or lander.
Space probes have been sent to Neptune to study the planet's atmosphere, rings, and moons, and to gather data that can help us better understand the outer solar system and its formation. The information collected from these missions can also provide insights into the composition and behavior of other gas giants in our galaxy.
None. They wouldn't survive the heat. They would burn up.
of course they tried killing us!
No. Makemake was discovered too recently for us to have sent anything there. It takes years to plan such a mission and would take years for a probe to visit something as far away as Makemake. The most distant object we have visited so far is Pluto.
You seem to be misinformed. The first US spacecraft was Mariner 10. This was followed by Messenger. There have not been others.
By the space race
The US has never been to Mercury.
Man has not physically been to Mercury but un-manned robots have been there. These robots have helped us to better understand our distant neighboring planet.
No. Only the US has sent men to the moon.
The U.S. has sent a number of space probes to the planet Mars. Several have been orbiting camera platforms, while others have been rovers or lander.
The two main launch complexes in the US are: -- Cape Canaveral, on the east coast of Florida -- Vandenberg Air Force Base in California
in terms of satalites and rovers, mars, venus, jupiter, saturn, mercury
Its been 3 weeks in us still not here
Yes, it has been done. Before manned spaceflight, the Russians sent a dog (Liaka) into orbit in 1957. The US sent chimpanzees.
stuff sent to another state or town in the US
The Mariner 10 probe photographed Mercury in 1973. The MESSENGER spacecraft flew by Mercury in January 2008, and revealed previously unseen details in high resolution photographs. Both of these spacecraft were launched by the US. As far as is known to the public, no manned missions and no astronauts have ever been anywhere near Mercury.
