Tough question to answer exactly because it various depending on the War/battle, but the most likely answer would probably be the Air Force, because they can fire bombs which are capable of wipping out entire cities... all the while remaining a safe distance from their target. However in terms of the most deadly branch of the US military, many might consider it the Marine Corp. as they are usually the first into combat, and the last to leave.
Whether you mean overall, or even just the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, your most likely answer would be the Army. If you wish to do a bit of research and calculation on your own, see related link "Honor the Fallen: Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom Casualties".
ARMY Airborne Infantry- (restrepo) documentry these men get in firefights everday.
Army.
The United States Army has had the most deaths while in Iraq with the Marine Corps following up behind it, however that is only because the Army is the biggest branch of the military. Each branch have experienced losses, including the Coast Guard, but the Army has received the most.
Air Force The Air Force was not established until after WWll, the navy suffered the fewest losses
It is most critical for our military to have, Men and women can both serve their country in each branch of the military.
the soviets
Of the Allied Powers, Russia suffered the most military deaths, with 2,254,369 total. Of the Central Powers, the German Empire suffered the most military deaths, with 2,037,000 total.
No branch of the US military is any more elite than the others. All serve; all are equal.
