In Season 4 of the USA series "Psych," in the episode "You Can't Handle This Episode," a US government agent makes the assertion that soldiers who commit suicide do this with their dog tags. HOWEVER, this agent (Juliet's brother) was an assassin for the military, and Juliet arrested him for attempted murder at the end of the episode. You are supposed to understand that the dog tags in the throat were a signal to the military pathologist, that he or she is to make a ruling of suicide. Whether such things happen in real life or not, I don't know.
