Individually, we may choose to eat or choose not to eat any kind of food available. The only exception is that we absolutely will NOT EAT any kind of food which contains blood.
We are told in Acts 15:28 & 29 - "For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well."
Although there may be some residual blood in well drained meat, Jehovah is the one who gives us permission to eat such meat as long as we make reasonable efforts to remove the blood from it.
We see this in Genesis 9:3 & 4: "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat."
The only dietary restriction that we have is anything that would violate God's command in The Bible not to consume blood. (Acts 15:28,29) Any animal not properly bled or any food made from blood, such as blood pudding or blood sausage, would be avoided by JW's. We have no other dietary restrictions.
As a group, Jehovah's Witnesses try to avoid eating foods containing blood products. As individuals, they may also have other dietary restrictions as advised by their doctor such as gluten free or low cholesterol.
The only restriction is that Jehovah's Witnesses do not eat blood or blood products.
If they want to. There are no restrictions for fishing on Jehovah's Witnesses.
