Groups 3-12
Groups 3 to 12 of the modern (IUPAC) Periodic Table. In earlier periodic tables groups IB, IIB, and VIII were transition metals. So was one branch each of groups III, IV, V, VI, and VII -- but there were different and confusing conventions about which of the sub-families of these groups were labelled A or B.
transition elements are classified into 2 types : 1- main transition elements (d-block)
2- inner transition elements (f-block) lanthanides and actinides(group lllB)
groups : lllB , lVB , VB , VlB , VllB , 8 , lB , llB
The elements in groups 3-12 are the transition elements. The lanthanides and actinides are the inner transition elements.
The transitional metals are the elements in the center of the periodic table groups 3-12
The elements in groups 3 to 12 on the periodic table are called transition metals or d-block elements.
Group number 3 to 12 of the periodic table are called groups of transition metals.
With a few exceptions metals are placed in groups 1-13 of the periodic table of Mendeleev.

Group3-12
Atoms make up elements. groups of elements make up molecules. Groups of molecules form macromolecules (polymers) which make up cells.
They do have their own names! The periodic table is actually split up into far more groups then just the metals and non-metals. The groups actually are as following: The Alkali metals The Alkaline earth metals The Lanthanides The Actinides The transition metals Other metals (all of the above are collectively grouped as the metals.) The Metaloids (these can neither be definitely grouped as metals or non-metals as they share properties of both.) Other non-metals The Halogens The Noble gases (these are collectively grouped as non-metals.) The reason for the fact that the collective groups being known as just the metals and non-metals is most likely due to the fact that there are far more metals, so it is more likely that these were discovered and then named first. There is no strong definition on what is a metal or non-metal, however, non-metals can generally be defined by having a negative valence whereas metals have a positive valence.
Metals are not a part of earth's atmosphere. All metals are solid under normal conditions, except for mercury, which is a liquid.
iron and molten rock.
To make tissue groups of cells from the orgins group together to make tissue, when tissue groups form together they make up organs.
Mercury is an element. No metals make it up. It is atomic number 80 with symbol Hg.
"metals"
Iron and nickel.
non metals
Main group elements include elements (except hydrogen) in groups 1 and 2 (s-block), and groups 13 to 18 (p-block).
it is made up of iron.
Atoms make up elements. groups of elements make up molecules. Groups of molecules form macromolecules (polymers) which make up cells.
Brass and Iron
The groups each have different names. Group one is made up of Alkali Metals (except for Hydrogen). Group two is made of Alkali Earth Metals. The other groups include Transition Metals, Noble Gases, Poor Metals and Non Metals.
There are about 50 ethnic groups in Canada.
They are called Transition Elements are they are all made up of metals.
no, the alkali metals make up the first period and all of them are highly reactive.
