What is an igneous rock with crystals?

Granite with larger crystals, basalt with smaller crystals.

What is the comparison of granite and basalt in terms of origin and texture which is intrusive and which is extrusive?

Basalt can't see crystals and basalt is extrusive. Granite you can see the crystals and is intrusive.

How willl the sizen of crystals in granite b different from the size of the crystals in basalt?

The will be large in an extrusive granite and fine in an intrusive basalt.

Why does Granite take much longer to form than Basalt?

hmmm, granite is intrusive, formed and cooled slowly at depth with larger individual crystals. Basalt is extrusive, fine grained (small crystals and cooled quickly. The intrusive equivalent of basalt is gabbro. For granite; rhylolite

What size are the crystals in marble?

They are usually Medium size compared to those in Granite and compared to Basalt.

How does Basalt differ from granite?

Basalt is an extrusive, mafic igneous rock, which means that it solidifies from lava at or near the surface, and is composed partly of iron and magnesium minerals. Granite is an intrusive felsic igneous rock, meaning that it solidifies from magma below the surface, and is relatively high in minerals containing silicon and aluminum. Basalt has a higher specific gravity than granite, and is also darker than granite. Basalt may have visible air pockets, frozen in place when it solidified from lava. Granite will not exhibit this characteristic. Basalt has mineral crystals that are not visible with the naked eye. Granite has visible mineral crystals.

What rock has larger crystals than basalt and granite?

A pegmatite is a rock formed under certain favorable circumstances that enhance the crystal size of the rock. The crystals would be larger than those in basalt, an extrusive igneous rock, and granite, and intrusive igneous rock.

How does a basalt differ from gabbro?

Gabbro has much larger grains that basalt does. This is because basalt cools faster than gabbro and has less time to form crystals.

What are granite and basalt?

Both are igneous rocks, formed from the cooling and solidification of magma. Granite is a felsic, intrusive igneous rock, with visible well mixed mineral crystals. Basalt is a mafic, extrusive igneous rock, composed of darker mineral crystals, most of which are not distinguishable without the aid of magnification.

Do igneous rocks have small crystals large crystals or no crystals?

It depends on the type of igneous rock. Intrusive igneous rocks such as granite have large crystals, extrusive igneous rocks may have small crystals as in basalt or no crystals as in pumice.

How will the size of crystals in granite be different to the size of crystals in basalt?

because they take longer to cool from the magma it is formed from

What are the difference between the sizes of the particles in granite with those in basaalt?

The crystals in granite, being intrusive in nature, will be larger than those in basalt, an extrusive igneous rock. Intrusive igneous rocks have cooled slowly from magma, extrusive rocks have cooled quickly from magma. Crystals grow larger from slow cooling magma.
