The difference is quiet simple. In television programming like the news, the reporters have only a certain amount of time per slot to fi all the stories of the day. WHereas a newspaper has no time frame and is able to report the entire story without leaving out detail that the news may have not had enough time to fit in. The news puts the days events ina nutshell basically but the newspaper is able to go into greater detail and eloborate.

I would have to say for my own personal opinion here. Newspaper.

Sometimes on the local news and other things you don't get all the news or all the report in full. You also don't get the updates. Then there are the ads and events and other things including classifieds and other things that you really would not get from anything on television at all..not nationally or locally.

So I have to state it is Newspaper for me.

It really depends on what the individual is looking for at the time what topic and what for too?

I mean if you want the weather watching it on television can be more accurate then the papers state.

If you want to find out about the accident up the street it might be in the local paper before it is on the news.

So it is really depending on what you are looking for. Newspapers generally have a political angle to their editorial. This can skew the news to the editors or owners politics. So beware. Radio news like Voice of America or BBC are generally even handed in their presentation of news.
