Leaving aside all argument as to which is better, "modern medicine" and "conventional medicine" are the same thing. Homeopathic medicine is one of the alternatives to conventional modern medicine, or is part of "alternative medicine".

∙ 13y agoConventional medicines are those which are 1) prescribed by a physician (M.D. or D.O) and 2) are in the PDR or can be obtained over the counter (OTC) in a pharmacy. Yes, this is different from herbal medicine (or traditional medicine from cultures predating modern medicine).
